We are seeking a Senior Associate (0-5 Years) to join our Mergers and Acquisitions team specialising in Superannuation, Life Insurance and Funds Management.
About the role
Our team are known for the breadth and depth of their experience in the superannuation space. This role will report in to Nathan Hodge
and Sarah Yu
who specialise in superannuation, life insurance and funds management for major banks and wealth management institutions, retail, industry and corporate funds, public sector schemes, investment managers and administrators across all areas of financial services law. Our team is established, collegiate and high performing.
We have worked on some of Australia and Asia's most complex transactions and act for the region's largest and most significant public companies, major financial institutions and global investment banks. This role will be varied and interesting and will include acting and advising on:
Transactions – assisting major banks and wealth management institutions with mergers and acquisitions.
Investments - investment management arrangements for listed assets and unlisted assets, investment structures, private equity and infrastructure investments and transition management arrangements
Governance – all aspects of governance including board policies, delegations, director liability, director duties.
Outsourcing - including advising on custody, administration and investment management agreements.
Product lifecycle – advising on complex life insurance products and establishing, changing and terminating superannuation funds and products.
Financial advice – various financial advice models including roboadvice.
Successor fund transfers – inbound and outbound successor fund transfers.
Regulatory and disclosure - relating to review of regulated documents, RSE and AFSL licensing, MySuper authorisations and APRA approvals and relief.
Disputes – from individual complaints to litigation.
Employers – employers superannuation issues including superannuation guarantee liabilities.
We regularly work with specialists from other practice groups as well as other centres within the KWM network.
